Improved Production Readiness of a manufacturing enterprise is a key competitive advantage. Production Readiness is a goal, which is normally achieved by improved predictability of the manufacturing plant. Improved predictability, in turn, is an effect of continuous improvement in Plant Reliability.

Enterprise Gateway (EG) is a first of its kind, powerful real time asset management solution, and the latest addition to the Activplant Efficiency suite, that enables continuous improvement in Plant Reliability.

Simply put, EG integrates Activplant Foundation Server software with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, such as Maximo®, in real time. As a result, EG allows for certain events that are dynamically occurring in the plant to drive maintenance actions, such as, generation of maintenance work order, instantaneously, in Maximo®. This is achieved based on simple rules and aggregations that are configured by EG users for monitoring plant events. Plant events could be one or more combinations of production rates, occurrence of failure or undesired failure rates, reject rates, other exception conditions, and/or in general, a combination of vital parameters that will define normal asset health.

The product allows for a mix of user defined maintenance strategies to be implemented in real time so that the overall fulfillment of Plant Reliability is achieved and improved continuously. Also, this solution enables the tracking of the status of the EG generated maintenance actions in Maximo® from inside of the Activplant portal
